Pere David's Deer

The third species of deer in Margam Park is Pere David's Deer, Elaphurus davidianus, an endangered species apparantly originating in China. This docile species seems to spend most of its time wallowing in mud - what a life!

Doing what this species seems to do best - nothing:

Another big stag:

  1. You have made a lot of nice pictures Jeremy....nice done.

  2. Not heard of this species before. Quite distinctive antlers on them.

  3. beautiful...and their antlers are beautiful!
